Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult ICU patients with trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory conditions
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications to maintain patient stability
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips while documenting findings accurately
Collaborate with nurse aides and healthcare support techs to deliver excellent patient outcomes
Float to PCU or MedSurg units when needed, maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios
Respond promptly to on-call situations within 30 minutes when required

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU experience preferred
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

ICU nursing with telemetry monitoring and drip titration
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Comfort managing vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Flexible and adaptable to floating assignments
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
