Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to ICU patients, maintaining a patient ratio of approximately 2:1
• Monitor and manage ventilators and standard ICU equipment to ensure patient stability
• Perform and support critical procedures such as central line and A-line care and intubation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document care accurately in the Meditech EMR to maintain continuity and compliance
• Deliver compassionate, accountable nursing care while adapting to the fast-paced ICU environment
• Support core staff with complex tasks including EVD patient care under unit guidelines

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (eligible to practice in the assignment state)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Meditech EMR experience (preferred)
• Experience with oncology or neuro critical care and procedures like central line/A-line and intubation (preferred)
• Team player attitude with accountability and caring bedside manner

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and monitoring skills
• Familiarity with standard ICU equipment and ventilator management
• Proficient documentation in Meditech or similar EMR systems
• Ability to perform or support central line, arterial line, and intubation procedures
• Comfort managing neuro and oncology ICU patients, including EVD care
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
