Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direction and guidance to hospital staff on policies, procedures and clinical decision making to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Organize workflow and staff assignments, optimizing resource utilization and patient flow across the facility.
Supervise nursing staff performance, provide constructive feedback, coaching and monitoring of productivity.
Collaborate closely with charge nurses, clinical and non-clinical teams, and the Chief Nursing Officer on administrative decisions.
Respond to patient and family concerns, facilitating resolution and maintaining patient satisfaction.
Oversee post-operative and critical care monitoring, including cardiac monitoring and care of patients across the lifespan.
Support clinical operations involving ventilator support, multiple IV pumps, A-lines, invasive lines and chest tube management.

Qualifications

Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Montana (required).
Degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
Minimum 3 years of RN experience in a hospital setting with recent ICU experience preferred.
Current CPR required; ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
Demonstrated experience with ventilator support, invasive lines (A-lines, central lines), chest tube management and multiple IV pumps.
Strong leadership, coaching and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle a busy workload and lead multidisciplinary teams.

Education

Degree from a Nursing Program (BSN preferred where applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient flow management and resource nurse coordination
House supervision and nurse leadership
Policy and procedure interpretation and application
Clinical decision making in ICU and post-operative settings
Cardiac monitoring and critical care competencies
Use of basic office equipment, critical thinking, project development and customer service
