Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced ER environment
Administer medications and treatments safely following protocols
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
Monitor patient status and respond to changes with timely interventions
Document assessments, care plans, and patient responses clearly and professionally
Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families during stressful moments

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for California (or compact state as applicable)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred or willing to obtain
Previous emergency room experience preferred; confident in high-acuity settings
Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
IV therapy, medication administration, and ACLS protocols
Ability to work calmly under pressure and in rapid-turnover situations
Familiarity with electronic medical records and clear clinical documentation
Patient- and family-centered communication and education
