Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: As needed, 12.5-hour shifts including weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions
Perform comprehensive assessments, triage, and initiate life-saving interventions
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other team members to ensure efficient patient flow
Administer medications, start IVs, and manage trauma cases
Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in North Carolina
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
ACLS and PALS certifications strongly preferred
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience preferred
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency nursing assessment and intervention
Triage and prioritization
Trauma and resuscitation skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in electronic health records
