Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect comprehensive health data to guide timely interventions
• Analyze assessment data to identify diagnoses and prioritize care
• Develop individualized plans of care and implement evidence-based interventions
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver cohesive patient-centered care
• Provide clear patient and family education to promote recovery and safety
• Deliver acute care on the ED and medical floor, following stroke and trauma protocols
• Participate in quality improvement and maintain required continuing education per DNV and Bozeman Health
• Demonstrate leadership on the unit, support peers, and contribute to professional development
• Respond promptly to on-call needs and provide reliable coverage during high-demand periods

Qualifications

• Active Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• American Heart Association BLS required
• American Heart Association ACLS required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• PALS or ENPC certification required
• Trauma Nursing Care Coordinator certification required
• Competence in modified primary nursing and stroke competency required
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Preferred: 1 year of emergency nursing or critical care experience

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• Patient assessment and diagnosis skills with strong clinical judgment
• Plan of care development and implementation
• Patient and family education with clear communication
• Health and safety promotion and quality improvement focus
