Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan in the ED
• Perform rapid assessment, triage, and ongoing monitoring to prioritize patient needs
• Initiate and manage evidence-based interventions and treatments in collaboration with the emergency team
• Administer medications, start IVs, and manage advanced life support as required
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families during high-stress moments
• Document assessments, procedures, and patient progress accurately and timely
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credentials - active licensure or eligibility required
• Emergency department experience preferred; confident in fast-paced triage and acute care
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in emergency settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; adaptable under pressure
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and provide high-quality care throughout

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid patient assessment in the emergency department
• Advanced airway management basics and familiarity with resuscitation protocols
• Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency
• Wound care, splinting, and basic trauma interventions
• Electronic medical record documentation and handoff communication
• Patient/family education and crisis de-escalation techniques
