Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients waiting for placement from the emergency department
Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias with confidence
Titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth patient transitions
Support med/surg/tele overflow units and both campuses as needed
Assist with ED tasks like vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when requested

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry experience within the past 6 months
Strong ability to read and interpret cardiac strips independently
Comfortable passing a dysrhythmia exam and SIM lab on day one

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Titration of cardiac medications including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Patient assessment and care for med/surg/tele patients
Floating between campuses and units with a positive attitude
Working collaboratively with ED staff and charge nurses
