Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee the Radiology program and ensure high-quality imaging services across the facility
• Track incoming radiology studies to confirm proper submission and timely reporting
• Provide PACS training and support for appropriate staff to maximize diagnostic workflow
• Assist with radiology transcription issues and ensure accurate documentation
• Manage equipment maintenance, inspections, and lead apron testing to meet regulatory requirements
• Create and maintain radiology policies and procedures that support safe, compliant operations
• Run the radiation protection monitoring program and ensure staff safety for radiation exposure
• Work with Finance to maintain the chargemaster and identify opportunities for improved revenue capture
• Ensure all QA/QC activities are completed and prepare required reports
• Supervise radiology staff daily, perform evaluations, and ensure competency through training and assessment

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
• Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) required
• Registered Mammographer preferred
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 5 years experience in Radiology Management and supervision
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Radiology Technologist
• PACS training required; CT and MRI technologist experience preferred
• Knowledge of MQSA requirements and federal/state/accreditation regulations relevant to radiology services

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of PACS, digitized imaging, and radiation protection practices
• Experience with quality assurance and quality control processes in radiology
• Familiarity with radiology policies and procedures and equipment maintenance
• Competency in charge capture/chargemaster processes and working with Finance
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to create manuals and organized documentation
• Ability to supervise and build a strong team environment, multi-task, and learn new imaging exams as needed
