Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose patients to create clear, individualized treatment plans
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve function and quality of life
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to ensure coordinated care
• Document patient interactions thoroughly and timely to meet facility and regulatory standards
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery strategies
• Maintain a safe, clean, and positive clinical environment for patients and staff
• Float to clinically appropriate units as needed while staying within scope and competencies

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy license in the state of practice or compact eligibility
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year recent outpatient experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to new clinical environments
• NIHSS, ACLS, CSU-ALS certifications listed as required or preferred across nearby hospitals

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient evaluation and clinical reasoning for musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions
• Treatment planning and delivery of therapeutic interventions
• Clear, timely documentation and charting
• Patient and family education techniques to support home recovery
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and communication
• Experience in outpatient settings and comfort with floating when needed
• Familiarity with NIHSS, BLS, ACLS and CSU-ALS as appropriate to unit requirements
