Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered physical therapy interventions to promote mobility, function, and independence
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessment
• Track and document patient progress accurately and promptly in the facility EMR
• Collaborate with nurses, occupational therapists, physicians, and support staff to coordinate care
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, fall prevention, and safe transfer techniques
• Use clinical reasoning to adapt treatments and achieve measurable functional goals
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in West Virginia or eligibility to obtain one
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working in a rehabilitation setting and managing a caseload independently
• Strong documentation skills and the ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members
• Available for a 14-week travel contract starting April 6, 2026

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy considered with appropriate licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise prescription, manual therapy principles, and functional mobility training
• Experience with gait training, balance interventions, and assistive device training
• Proficient documentation practices and outcome measurement use
• Strong patient education and coaching abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary care team
