Location: Cordova, Alaska

Start Date: 07-27-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with lunch 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy services to patients in a rural Alaskan hospital under the supervision of a licensed PT
Assist patients with exercises and activities to improve mobility and function
Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Collaborate with the rehabilitation team including OT, SLPA, and PT
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention

Qualifications

Must have an active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Alaska
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PTA
BLS certification required
Ability to thrive in a remote, tight-knit community setting

Knowledge & Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Comfortable using EMR systems (training provided)
Adaptability and creativity in delivering therapy with limited resources
