Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (per diem shifts)
Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to geriatric residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
- Support residents with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort
- Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care plans
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
- Valid CPR certification
- Experience in geriatric care preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle physical demands of the role, including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills
