Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-01-2026

End Date: 08-31-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Help patients recover from joint replacements, spinal surgeries, strokes, and general medical conditions
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create personalized treatment plans
Support patients through their most vulnerable moments of healing and rehabilitation
Document progress and adjust care strategies to maximize recovery outcomes

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification needed
Acute Inpatient PT experience is essential
Comfort working with diverse patient populations including ortho, neuro, and deconditioned patients

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and treatment planning abilities
Experience with post-surgical and neurological rehabilitation
Ability to work independently across multiple hospital departments
Excellent communication and documentation skills
