Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify medications and ensure accurate, safe dispensing for inpatient care
• Perform therapeutic drug monitoring and dosing for vancomycin, aminoglycosides, and anticoagulants
• Compound and oversee sterile IV preparations using Dose Edge verification
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and manage Pyxis and Pak Edge workflows
• Provide medication reconciliation, first dose checks, and emergency medication box management
• Collaborate with clinical teams on pain consults and medication-related interventions
• Document interventions and use Meditech EMR to maintain accurate patient records

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
• Licensed to practice Pharmacy in Missouri (MO) - active license required
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience (per job posting)
• ACLS and BLS preferred
• NICU experience is a plus for candidates with neonatal exposure
• Experience supervising technicians and working with automated dispensing systems

Education

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations and medication safety
• Experience with Dose Edge, Pyxis, and Pak Edge systems
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR for order verification and documentation
• Skill in therapeutic drug monitoring and dosing protocols
• Ability to lead and mentor pharmacy technicians and prioritize tasks in a busy hospital
