Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify and accurately prepare inpatient medication orders to ensure patient safety
• Dispense medications and maintain precise documentation for controlled substances
• Counsel patients and family members on medication side effects and proper use
• Advise physicians and the care team on appropriate drug selection and dosing
• Manage inventory and ensure timely availability of essential medications
• Deliver clinical services, including vaccinations, in inpatient settings
• Implement medication safety best practices and participate in quality initiatives
• Communicate effectively with nursing and support staff to streamline medication workflows

Qualifications

• Active Michigan state pharmacy license required (must be active at time of submission)
• Controlled substance license required (documented at time of submission)
• Minimum 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience (required)
• Demonstrated experience with prescription verification and dispensing
• Comfortable and available to work 12-hour night shifts on a 7 on / 7 off schedule
