Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure patients receive safe, effective drug therapy through clinical pharmacy interventions
• Manage and oversee drug distribution processes including unit dose systems
• Prepare and verify IV admixtures following hospital policies and best practices
• Provide hands-on pharmacy practice support using computerized systems
• Teach and mentor pharmacy staff, students, and other clinical learners
• Perform administrative duties that support pharmacy operations and compliance
• Conduct research projects that advance pharmacy practice and patient care
• Maintain compliance with all applicable State and Federal healthcare laws and regulations

Qualifications

• Hospital pharmacy experience required (candidate must have hospital experience, not just retail)
• Experience with unit dose systems and IV admixtures
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with technical and clinical pharmacy practice
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently (self-directed)
• Experience or willingness to participate in teaching, administrative duties, and research

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical pharmacy knowledge to support patient drug therapy needs
• Drug distribution workflows and unit dose operations
• IV admixture preparation and safety practices
• Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems
• Pharmacy practice in an acute care hospital environment
• Communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
