Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Shift Type: 3rd shift, includes weekends and holidays as needed

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 - $38.5 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee technician staff to ensure accurate medication preparation and distribution
Verify medication orders and perform clinical documentation
Answer clinical questions from nurses and providers to support patient care
Perform product checking and distribution to various hospital units
Maintain operational needs of the central pharmacy
Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize pharmaceutical care

Qualifications

Active Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in North Carolina
Hospital pharmacy experience required
Experience overseeing the work of pharmacy technicians
Preferred: Emergency Department experience
Preferred: Cerner and Vigilanz experience
ACLS certification preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Team player with a positive attitude
Adaptable and able to multitask in a high-stress environment
Strong clinical knowledge in pediatric and adult pharmaceutical care
Excellent communication skills for interacting with nurses and providers
Ability to use resources effectively
