Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess clients to determine occupational needs and functional abilities
• Develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence in daily living
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and adaptive techniques
• Document progress, revise care plans and communicate outcomes clearly
• Collaborate with PTs, SLPs, nurses and caregivers to coordinate holistic care
• Educate patients and families on strategies, home programs and safety
• Recommend and fit adaptive equipment to improve participation and safety
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment and uphold professional standards

Qualifications

• Current California Occupational Therapy license or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT, OTD or equivalent)
• NBCOT certification preferred or in progress
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records and meeting facility requirements
• Professional, reliable, and able to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team

Education

• Master's in Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) preferred
• Bachelor's degree in a related field acceptable where applicable with accredited OT credentialing

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL assessment and task analysis
• Experience with therapeutic activity planning and adaptive equipment
• Strong clinical reasoning and goal-setting abilities
• Clear written and verbal communication for documentation and team coordination
• Ability to educate patients and caregivers in a friendly, practical way
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
