Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional abilities and needs using evidence-based evaluation methods
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on independence in daily living tasks
• Implement therapeutic interventions and adaptive techniques to promote recovery
• Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document progress, treatment plans, and discharge recommendations accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families on strategies, home programs, and safe use of adaptive equipment

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in Wyoming or eligible to obtain WY licensure
• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Experience in inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, or long-term care settings is a plus
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and a patient-centered approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (OT or OTD preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL retraining and functional mobility interventions
• Knowledge of assistive devices, splinting basics, and adaptive equipment
• Familiarity with common outcome measures and documentation standards
• Ability to perform thorough assessments and generate measurable goals
• Comfort working in interdisciplinary teams and mentoring support staff
