Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform screening mammography exams with focus on image quality and patient comfort
• Operate and maintain mammography equipment following safety protocols
• Ensure compliance with ACR and MQSA standards for imaging and documentation
• Conduct mammography quality assurance activities and routine checks
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to create a positive experience
• Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to support excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

• ARRT certification with advanced mammography credentials (required)
• Washington State Radiologic Technologist licensure (required)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Experience with mammography quality assurance and screening mammography
• Familiarity with ACR and MQSA standards and documentation practices
• Strong patient communication and patient-care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Mammography equipment operation and troubleshooting
• Screening mammography techniques and positioning
• Quality assurance processes specific to mammography
• ACR and MQSA compliance requirements
• General radiologic technology principles
• Providing a calm, positive patient experience during imaging
