Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to clinic patients within the scope of an LPN, following established standards and practices
Take and document vital signs accurately to support clinical decision making
Triage patient calls to assess urgency and route appropriately
Manage medication refill requests and complete necessary prior authorizations
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers to ensure smooth clinic flow
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs and support team goals
Direct and provide guidance to CNAs and Schedulers as needed
Follow state and federal licensure and continuing education requirements and clinic policies

Qualifications

Current State LPN license required
Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Experience in clinic nursing tasks such as vital signs, triage, medication refills, and prior authorizations
Ability to act as a patient liaison and direct CNAs and support staff
Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN diploma or equivalent)

BLS
Taking and interpreting vital signs
Triage and telephone triage
Medication refill processing
Prior authorization workflows
Clinic nursing operations
Patient liaison and communication
Supervising CNAs
Teamwork, communication, and leadership
Basic gastroenterology clinic familiarity
