Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, technical nursing care to residents using the nursing process under RN supervision
- Assume charge nurse duties when assigned, coordinating the nursing team to ensure safe, high-quality care
- Apply sound clinical judgment to assess residents, prioritize care, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Document resident care thoroughly and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team and families
- Use facility computer systems proficiently to manage charts, medication administration records, and care plans
Qualifications
- Current California LVN license required
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an LVN
- Graduate of an approved LVN program with an associate degree or equivalent
- Current CPR certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education
- Graduate of an approved LVN program (Associate degree or equivalent)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in the nursing process and resident-centered care
- Clinical judgment and the ability to establish priorities in a busy SNF setting
- Experience with charge nurse duties and coordinating a care team
- Comfortable using computers and electronic documentation systems
- Effective written and verbal communication
