Location: Orwigsburg, PA

Start Date: 05-16-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift, schedule to be determined (exact start/end times and days TBD)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents, maintaining dignity and comfort
Administer medications and treatments accurately according to care plans
Monitor residents' conditions and report changes promptly to the care team
Document care activities thoroughly and maintain clear communication with families
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
Support resident activities of daily living and encourage independence when appropriate

Qualifications

Valid LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in Pennsylvania (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered mindset
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality care

Education

LPN diploma or practical nursing certificate
High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of medication administration and basic clinical procedures
Familiarity with long-term care documentation and care planning
Strong vital signs assessment and reporting skills
Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
Basic infection control and safety practices
