Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients at Sandia Ridge Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Monitor patient status, report changes promptly, and collaborate with the care team
• Assist with daily living activities and support patient comfort and safety
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and follow facility protocols
• Participate in shift handoffs and communicate care plans clearly to next-shift staff

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — required
• Comfortable working Wednesday through Friday daytime schedule (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willing to obtain prior to start (if required by facility)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Clinical confidence in medication administration, patient observation, and documentation

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent vocational training

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and basic clinical skills
• Medication administration and timing
• Accurate charting and EMR familiarity
• Infection control and safety practices
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management for longer shift patterns
