Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in accordance with facility policies
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly in the chart
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor patient status, report changes promptly, and escalate concerns as needed
• Support patients and families with education, reassurance, and clear communication
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (ability to practice in New Mexico preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfort with providing direct patient care in a long day shift environment
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to pass background checks and any required facility screenings

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and infection control practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs, and basic clinical procedures
• Experience with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time during long shifts, and remain calm under pressure
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
