Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility support, and fall prevention strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care and observations
• Support mealtime and personal hygiene needs with dignity and respect
• Collaborate with the care team to promote a positive, person-centered environment

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential (T-LNA experience a plus)
• Eligible to practice in Vermont or able to obtain state authorization
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
• Willingness to work a day schedule that includes every other weekend

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed nursing assistant training program and active LNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADLs, basic patient care, and safe resident handling techniques
• Familiarity with facility documentation practices and timely charting
• Able to communicate clearly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Comfortable following care plans, infection control, and safety protocols
• Attention to detail and good time management during busy shifts
