Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, supporting dignity and independence
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Help with mobility, transfers and fall prevention strategies to keep residents safe
• Document resident care accurately and maintain clear communication with nurses and families
• Support a clean, safe and comfortable living environment for all residents
• Participate in care planning and contribute observations that improve resident outcomes

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred or facility-required)
• Submit to background check and meet facility immunization requirements
• Prior experience working with elderly or long-term care residents is a plus
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an approved GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of ADLs and best practices for geriatric care
• Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
• Infection control and safe handling techniques
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
• Accurate documentation and attention to detail

This is a travel contract position.
