Roles & Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for each procedure
Take and develop dental x-rays as directed
Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and oral hygiene education
Manage patient records and update medical histories
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment

Qualifications

Active Dental Assistant certification or registration in Maryland
Current CPR/BLS certification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and a commitment to patient care
Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred but not required

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a dental assisting program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
Proficiency with dental software and digital record-keeping
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Compassionate and patient-focused approach
