Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Warwick, RI
Start Date: 05-07-2026
End Date: 08-29-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 36 hours per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, includes weekends and holidays as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to labor and delivery patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor and delivery
- Administer medications and assist with epidurals and C-sections
- Educate patients and families on postpartum care and newborn care
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team to ensure safe outcomes
- Maintain accurate electronic health records using EPIC
- Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
- Active Rhode Island RN license in good standing
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- EPIC experience required
- EFM certification preferred
Education
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of maternal-child nursing principles
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
