Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shifts, 36 hours per week, typically 3x12-hour shifts, schedule to be determined

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity in a fast-paced ER environment
Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Rhode Island
Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of recent ER experience preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in emergency nursing assessments and interventions
Strong understanding of cardiac monitoring, trauma care, and pediatric emergencies
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
