Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide gentle and thorough dental cleanings for pediatric patients
- Educate young patients and their families on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed
- Take and develop dental x-rays with care and precision
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area to ensure patient safety
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Maryland
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current CPR certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and instruments
- Knowledge of infection control protocols
- Familiarity with dental software and x-ray systems
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
