Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to patients with psychiatric and medical-surgical needs
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, recognizing changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- DCI/BVP certification (or willing to obtain)
- At least 1 year of recent combined psych and med-surg experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, medications, and therapeutic interventions
- Competence in medical-surgical nursing procedures and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
