Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 5x8-hour day shifts, on-call required, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert circulating nursing care in the OR, ensuring patient safety during surgeries
Collaborate with surgeons and surgical team for orthopedic and ENT procedures
Take on-call duty to support emergency surgeries and maintain 24/7 OR coverage
Prepare and maintain sterile field and surgical equipment
Monitor patient status throughout procedures and document accurately in EPIC EMR

Qualifications

Current and valid RN license in California required
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of OR circulating experience with ortho and ENT preferred
EPIC EMR experience required
CNOR certification preferred
Ability to take on-call and work every other weekend

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of surgical asepsis and sterile technique
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations
Proficient in EPIC EMR documentation
Compassionate patient-centered care approach
