Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and radiographic procedures using prescribed techniques, adjusting equipment settings for optimal imaging
• Prepare rooms, position patients, and administer contrast material safely and accurately
• Apply radiation protection practices to minimize exposure for patients and staff
• Conduct routine quality control checks and maintain quality control reports for imaging equipment
• Perform daily cleaning and general maintenance of x-ray and CT equipment
• Manage scheduling tasks, answer phones, and assist with administrative duties as needed
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to call assignments when scheduled

Qualifications

• Completion of formal radiological technologist training from an AMA-approved program
• ARRT registration required
• CT certification required; MRI certification preferred but not required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 6 months experience in Computerized Tomography (CT)
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in Computed Tomography (CT) and radiography/X-ray techniques
• Strong patient positioning and patient care skills
• Knowledge of radiation protection and safety best practices
• Experience with quality control procedures and equipment maintenance
• Ability to prepare and handle contrast material safely
• Good communication skills for patient scheduling, phone triage, and general administrative tasks
• Comfort with on-call responsibilities and flexible shift coverage
