Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and MRI procedures following established protocols to deliver accurate diagnostic images
• Operate radiography and fluoroscopy equipment, including C-arm/OR imaging, with a focus on patient safety and image quality
• Apply radiation safety principles (ALARA) and maintain a safe imaging environment
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service calls when needed
• Maintain accurate patient records, EHR/PACS documentation, and charge capture for procedures and supplies
• Assist with clerical duties and patient transportation when required
• Provide patient education and clear explanations of procedures to ensure cooperation and comfort
• Train and cross-train imaging staff as directed and support departmental performance improvement initiatives
• Order, stock, and manage supply inventory to support smooth department operations
• Adhere to organizational policies, confidentiality standards, infection control, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) with CT and MRI certifications required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and pass background and pre-employment drug screening
• Preferred: Two (2) years prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist with CT and MRI experience
• Preferred cross-training in DEXA and Mammography; experience with PACS and RIS/HIS is a plus

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration in Radiology with CT and MRI certifications
• BLS certification (or obtain within 90 days)

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) image acquisition
• Radiography and Fluoroscopy techniques, including C-arm/OR imaging
• Radiation safety practices (ALARA)
• Equipment operation, preventive maintenance awareness, and troubleshooting
• EHR/PACS documentation, charge capture, and electronic record systems (PACS, RIS/HIS)
• Strong patient care, communication, and patient education skills
• Ability to assist across modalities, manage time, and work with minimal supervision
