Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning to maintain comfort and prevent injury
• Support admission, transfer and discharge processes with professionalism and empathy
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the care team to promote coordinated care
• Document care activities accurately and timely according to facility policy

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-certified; Pennsylvania certification preferred)
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Demonstrated patient-care experience or strong willingness to learn on the job
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings per facility policy

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completed accredited CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental patient care skills and safe lifting/transfer techniques
• Comfort taking and documenting vital signs and basic observations
• Infection control practices and adherence to PPE protocols
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Basic charting and following care plans; quick learner with facility systems
