Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient-centered care on med-tele unit supporting cardiac pulmonary post-surgical and complex needs
• Perform accurate vital sign assessments and report changes promptly
• Safely remove peripheral IVs and Foley catheters
• Assist with daily living mobility and basic treatments to promote recovery
• Document care clearly in electronic systems
• Float confidently between regional facilities adapting quickly
• Collaborate with RNs and supervisors for safe staffing and great outcomes
• Participate in orientation and ongoing med-tele learning

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years med-tele or acute care experience preferred
• Comfortable with night shifts and every-other-weekend rotations
• Experience with vital signs PIV and Foley removal
• COVID-19 vaccination per facility policy
• Willingness to float across regional hospitals

Education

• CNA certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Strong vital sign assessment and observation
• Safe PIV and Foley removal techniques
• Electronic charting familiarity like EPIC
• Prioritization effective communication and teamwork
• Infection control and patient safety protocols
• Acute care for cardiac COPD post-surgical and more
