Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and support to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs and patient observations
• Support safe transfers and mobility with proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Document care accurately in patient records and follow facility policies
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote the best possible outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
• New Mexico CNA certification preferred or required as applicable
• BLS/CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and required health screenings
• Reliable transportation and flexibility for per-diem night shifts
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous CNA experience preferred but not always required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of patient care basics and activities of daily living
• Infection control and proper hygiene practices
• Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Comfortable with documentation and basic charting
• Compassionate communication and de-escalation skills
