Location: Belen, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as scheduled), 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM, Night shift (30-minute meal break)

Hours per Week: 38

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, direct patient care and support daily living activities
Assist patients with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and feeding
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the clinical team
Maintain clear, timely documentation of patient care and observations
Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to reduce risk
Help create a warm, respectful environment that promotes patient dignity and comfort

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
Comfortable working a night shift schedule and providing hands-on care
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass required background checks and immunization verification
Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in activities of daily living assistance and patient hygiene
Knowledgeable about infection control and safe patient handling
Proficient at taking and documenting vital signs and patient observations
Able to follow care plans and effectively communicate changes to nurses
Team-oriented, dependable, and attentive to patient needs
