Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM Night shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and support with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility safely and respectfully
Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Document care accurately and timely to support continuity and quality
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Follow infection control standards and facility policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
High school diploma or GED preferred
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable working night shifts and varied per-diem schedules
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety
Good charting and documentation habits
Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
