Location: Belen, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem / As-needed, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM NOC (overnight/night shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assist residents with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
Support safe transfers and mobility with proper body mechanics and equipment
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively during handoffs
Follow infection control protocols to keep residents and coworkers safe
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families, making each day brighter

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Active authorization to work in New Mexico and meet facility onboarding requirements
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Prior experience in long-term care or similar healthcare setting is a plus
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required immunizations

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong resident-centered care skills and dignity-focused approach
Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs and basic observations
Knowledge of ADLs, mobility assistance, and safe transfer techniques
Good communication and teamwork skills within multidisciplinary teams
Familiarity with infection control and workplace safety practices
