Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Perform bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding assistance, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility to prevent falls and injuries
• Document care accurately and timely in resident charts and communicate with nursing staff
• Support a positive, clean, and safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote resident comfort and well-being

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active or eligible for CNA licensure in New Mexico
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work overnight/night shifts and lift/assist residents as required
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• CNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs
• Familiarity with basic infection control practices
• Good observational skills to notice and report resident changes
• Respectful, patient-centered communication with residents and families
• Ability to follow care plans and document per facility policies
