Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assist nursing staff with vital signs, documentation, and timely communication of patient changes.
• Support mobility and safe patient transfers to promote independence and prevent injury.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
• Build positive relationships with patients and their families by offering respectful, dignified care.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (New Mexico preferred or eligible to obtain)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Prior experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute care settings is a plus
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient-centered care and basic nursing procedures
• ADL assistance, mobility support, and safe transfer techniques
• Accurate documentation and charting etiquette
• Infection control practices and safety protocols
• Clear communication with interdisciplinary care teams
