Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (varied days), 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM, day shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care assisting patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
Take and accurately record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
Assist with safe patient transfers, positioning, and ambulation to promote mobility and prevent injury
Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate effectively in the electronic charting system
Support rehabilitation activities and work collaboratively with nursing and therapy staff to meet patient goals
Create a warm, respectful environment for residents and their families, focused on dignity and comfort

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by the facility
Previous CNA experience preferred but motivated new CNAs are welcome
Strong communication skills, reliability, and a patient-centered approach

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
Monitoring and documenting vital signs accurately
Basic infection control practices and hand hygiene
Safe transfer and mobility techniques
Familiarity with charting/EHR systems and timely documentation
Compassionate communication and teamwork
