Cardiovascular Surgical Physician Assistant

Location: Redding, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: All shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM onsite then night call 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekends

Candidate Pay Rate: $161 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in 10-11 heart surgeries per month plus thoracic cases
Perform endovascular vein harvesting using Maquet Hemopro 2
Conduct morning rounds and write notes on post-op patients
Manage follow-up clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays seeing up to 6 patients
Collaborate with surgeons and support staff to deliver exceptional care

Qualifications

Board Certified
Active California State License
ACLS, BLS, DEA certifications
Clean malpractice history
Recent and substantial cardiovascular surgical assist experience
Substantial EVH experience required
