Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver safe, high-quality general anesthesia for a wide range of surgical cases
Manage independent cases across ortho, labor & delivery, spine, GI, gynecology, urology, cath lab, interventional radiology, and bariatric procedures
Collaborate with CRNAs, anesthesia techs, and the broader surgical team
Respond promptly to call coverage and provide timely patient care during callbacks
Document accurately in EPIC and maintain clear communication with the care team

Qualifications

Board Certified Anesthesiologist
Active Iowa medical license or eligibility via IMLC
Current BLS and DEA certifications
Clean malpractice history preferred
Residency training in anesthesiology required

Education

Completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency program
Board certification in anesthesiology

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical judgment for independent anesthesia practice
Comfort managing a broad case mix in a busy community hospital
Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to respond quickly to call and callback situations
