Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate communication and swallowing function using evidence-based tools
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals to maximize patient progress
• Deliver skilled speech-language therapy across appropriate settings and modalities
• Collaborate with PT, OT, nursing, and case management to coordinate comprehensive care
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely
• Provide patient and family education to support carryover and functional outcomes
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discharge planning for safe transitions

Qualifications

• Current state license or eligibility to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in New Hampshire
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent clinical degree (see Education)
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or active pursuit of certification
• Comfortable providing evaluations and therapy for a diverse caseload in a rehabilitation setting
• Strong clinical documentation skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Professional, reliable, and patient-centered mindset for quality care delivery

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent clinical degree required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in standardized and informal assessment techniques
• Experience with dysphagia management and safe swallowing strategies
• Skilled in developing individualized treatment plans and measurable outcomes
• Familiarity with AAC approaches and compensatory strategies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for patient education and documentation
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
