Roles & Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate outpatient surgical procedures for roughly 20 surgeons across multiple specialties
• Serve as the primary liaison between surgeon offices, patients, anesthesia providers, and ASC clinical staff
• Ensure all cases are scheduled in accordance with ASC policies, block utilization, and surgeon availability
• Manage schedule adjustments, cancellations, and same-day add-on cases while maintaining efficient patient flow
• Coordinate daily with anesthesia and nursing leadership to optimize case volume and room utilization
• Maintain accurate scheduling data within the ASC scheduling system
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and confidentiality standards (HIPAA, CMS, AAAHC/Joint Commission)
• Provide excellent customer service as the front-facing representative of the ASC
• Perform additional administrative and scheduling-related duties as assigned by the Business Office Manager/Administrator

Qualifications

• Strong outpatient/ASC scheduling experience or equivalent administrative experience
• Familiarity with ASC scheduling systems and case coordination
• Understanding of HIPAA, CMS, and AAAHC/Joint Commission requirements
• Excellent communication skills and ability to serve as a liaison among multiple stakeholders
• Proven ability to manage same-day changes, cancellations, and high-volume scheduling
• Flexible, organized, and able to exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office certification or associate degree preferred
