Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Triage and assess patients quickly and accurately in a busy urgent care setting
Deliver compassionate direct patient care including wound care, injections, and medication administration
Collaborate with providers and the care team to develop and implement treatment plans
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
Document assessments, interventions, and patient education clearly in the EHR
Maintain infection control standards and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure — ability to practice in the state of assignment
Experience in urgent care, emergency, or ambulatory care preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS a plus depending on site
Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered mindset

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Urgent care triage and rapid assessment
Wound care, splinting, and minor procedures
Medication administration and IV skills
Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation
Patient education, discharge planning, and follow-up coordination
Infection control practices and OSHA compliance
